Project 1: Self Portraits
Software: Adobe Photoshop
For this assignment students created a self portrait containing a picture of themselves (optional) and images that represent their interests. This was a self reflective creative work.
Project 2: Title Sequence and Poster
Software: Adobe Photoshop
Movie title sequences set the tone, atmosphere and characters of a film for the audience. For this assignment, with a partner, students edited a sequence of still images/illustrations, taken from the internet or their own, into a story (narrative). For a theme, they decided on an issue–local, national or international–that they cared about. It could be personal as well as political. They selected music to edit to, that spoke to their theme in terms of lyrics, mood or both. They learned the basics of the Photoshop timeline–image placement, trimming and effects–in order to create a sequence. Both video and poster were completed entirely in
Adobe Photoshop.

Project 3: Character Design
Software: Adobe Photoshopand Adobe Character Animator
Students explored digital drawing techniques using raster graphics to develop the aesthetic appearance of a hypothetical game character. Then they incorporated their character into a short animation using Adobe Character Animator.
