Project 1: Self Portrait
The students were asked to look at this assignment as a problem to solve through the eyes of an artist first and graphic designer second. It was asked that they express themselves, who they are (not what they do). This could be a personality trait, a passion, a dominant emotion, attitude or a character trait. It could be positive or negative. If either it was to be shown through the work. Essentially, the composition was to express visually, through type and image.
Project 2: Music Promotion
Students were asked to design print collateral/music promotion-an album cover and promotional support for an established musician of their choice. Final deliverables included an Album-Cover, Inside Spread (with sleeve) and Back Cover, Tour Poster, T-Shirt, Back Stage Pass and Guitar Pick.

They were asked to conduct primary and secondary research on their topic, and needed to include statistics and facts in their infographic. MLA guidelines were used for references.
